程海林，男，1949年生于灌南。国家高级书法师，中国国宾礼艺术家，国际金牌艺术家。亚洲书画家协会副主席，中国东方文化研究会高级艺术顾问，中华英才联盟理事会副理事长，中国军转民杂志社文化艺术编辑委副会长，新文艺群体副秘书长，北京京华阁书画院常务副院长等。被授予功勋艺术家，特别推荐艺术家，中国当代文化艺术代言人，国际影响力非遗传承人，北京冬奥会艺术大使，国礼艺术家形象大使等光荣称号。

Cheng Hailin, male, born in 1949 in Guannan, is a National Senior
Calligrapher, China National Guest Artist, and International Gold Medal
Artist. He serves as Vice Chairman of the Asian Calligraphers and
Painters Association, Senior Art Consultant of the China Oriental
Culture Research Association, Deputy Chairman of the China Elite
Alliance Council, Vice President of the Cultural and Art Editorial
Committee of China Military-Civilian Magazine, Deputy Secretary-General
of the New Cultural Arts Group, and Executive Vice President of Beijing
Jinghua Pavilion Calligraphy and Painting Academy. He has been honored
with titles such as Meritorious Artist, Special Recommended Artist,
China Contemporary Cultural and Art Ambassador, International
Influential Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritor, Beijing Winter
Olympics Art Ambassador, and National Gift Artist Image Ambassador.
Inheriting Zhang Xu’s calligraphic legacy and embodying the grandeur
of Mao’s style, this poetic cursive script draws inspiration from
masters like Wang Xizhi, incorporating poetic composition techniques and
personal expression. It vividly conveys poetic imagery, infusing
characters with dynamic vitality and musical rhythm. Through crafting
new poetry and characters, it celebrates the great new era, promotes
universal values of truth, goodness, and beauty, and advances social
harmony and global peace.
From 2011 to 2015, he successively won the Gold Medal from the
Chinese Calligraphers Association and the Gold Medal from the China-US
Artists Association, as well as the Chongyang Gold Medal from the China
Federation of Literary and Art Circles. In 2024, he received the Gold
Medal from the China Committee for the Care of the Next Generation, the
Gold Medal for Sino-Russian Friendship, the Monet International Art Gold
Medal, and the Picasso Gold Medal. In 2025, he was awarded the Da Vinci
International Art Gold Medal, the Special Prize from Florence, Italy,
the China Internet Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Intangible Cultural
Heritage Merit Award, the China Calligraphy and Painting Magnolia Award,
the China Art and Culture Exchange Great Contribution Award, the
International Gold Medal Artist, and the World Art Lifetime Achievement
Award. His works have been featured in publications such as China.com,
CCTV, Global Times, Calligraphy News, People’s Art News, Tianjin
People’s Fine Arts Publishing House, Sotheby’s Art Magazine, China
International News, Shengshi Collection, Great Red Robe Appraisal, China
Modern and Contemporary Calligraphy and Painting Masters’ Masterpieces

Textbooks. He has produced national gift gold books, national gift
crystal albums, national gift Fengqi Oriental Silk Painting Albums,
national gift Moutai Special Wine Envelopes, Jingdezhen high-end
porcelain board gifts for the Beijing Olympics, and Jingdezhen high-end
porcelain calligraphy and painting collections. Experts from China
Calligraphy Network and other organizations have highly praised his
work, with Ouyang Zhongshi personally inscribing "Every stroke is
delicate, every word is sincere." He has been invited to co-author books
with Ouyang Zhongshi, Shen Peng, Quan Xijun, Sun Xiaoyun, and others,
and published a personal collection titled "Ode to the Red Flag" marking
the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party. In 2014, the
Ministry of Culture awarded him the honorary title of "Grandmaster of
Calligraphy and Painting." He was recognized by authoritative media as a
"Model Artist of Virtue and Art in the New Era." In 2019, the China
Foreign Celebrities Culture Research Association honored him as an
Outstanding Cultural Worker, presenting a banner with the inscription:
"His brush captures the essence of history, his virtue and artistry
endure for generations." The first batch of China Cultural Celebrity
Studios were awarded bronze plaques, with Mr.Quan Xijun personally
inscribing the plaque. In 2020, the multimedia event documenting
contemporary art masters and providing authoritative interpretations of
the successful paths of art masters was honored with the title of a
renowned master, with Mr.Shen Peng personally inscribing the plaque. In
2021, Beautiful China awarded the Medal of Meritorious Artist. Former
Vice Minister of Culture and First Director of the Palace Museum, Pan
Zhenzhou; Head of the Painting and Calligraphy Department at the Palace
Museum and appraisal expert of the China Calligraphy and Painting
Collectors Association, Pan Shenliang; Director of the Palace Museum,
Shan Guoqiang; Head of the Cultural Relics Department at the China
History Museum, Lü Changsheng; and former Director of the State
Administration for Market Regulation, Li Dewei, among others, gave high
praise. In October 2022, CCTV’s Middle School Channel’s "World of
Aesthetic Education" aired the special interview program with
contemporary calligraphy and painting masters three times, achieving
excellent broadcast results. In April 2023, experts and leaders from the
China Talent Magazine, the Palace Museum, Peking University, and the
China Calligraphers Association highly praised the event at an academic
symposium, noting that contemporary "Cheng School cursive script" is
grand in scale and has pioneered a new era of practical application in
cursive script. The works have been widely acclaimed in domestic and
international exhibitions and are collected by the Ministry of Culture,
the National Museum, the National Textbook Museum, the Zhou Enlai
Memorial Hall筹建委员会, the Hong Kong Cultural Promotion Association, the
China-Russia Friendship Art Museum, and other institutions.

Calligraphy: 8 feet (270cm×100cm). The northern landscape is frozen for
miles, snowflakes drifting across the land. Within and beyond the Great
Wall, only vast emptiness remains; the mighty river above and below
suddenly loses its roaring flow. Mountains dance like silver snakes,
plains gallop like waxen elephants, daring to challenge the heavens for
height. On a clear day, the red-clad snowscape appears exceptionally
enchanting.
The land’s splendor commands countless heroes to bow in awe. Though
Qin Shi Huang and Han Wu Di may lack literary brilliance, Tang Taizong
and Song Taizu fall short in poetic grace. Genghis Khan, the conqueror
of the world, mastered only the art of archery. All past glory
fades—today’s true heroes are those who rise to the challenge.
